Did you know that there are 2 days in the year when you can fish anywhere in California without a license

For 2006, California's free fishing days are JUNE 10TH and SEPTEMBER 23TH.

Once you have your rod, reel, bait and maps, you will need to purchase a fishing license. Rules on bait, size and limits, etc. depend on where you are fishing in.
